Power Battle: 2021 Jeep Gladiator vs 2021 Chevrolet Colorado in the East Kootenay, BC

May 25,2022

Although the 2021 Jeep Gladiator is a newer model in its class, it comes out on top when you look at the performance. Compared to well-established trucks like the 2021 Chevrolet Colorado, you can see just how much better it is.   The Gladiator is offered with two engine options. The standard is a 3.6-litre V6 that delivers 285 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. Paired with either a 6-speed manual or an 8-speed automatic transmission, it can handle quite a bit of adventure. There is also a diesel motor. This is the turbocharged 3.0-litre V6 that pushes out 260 hp and 442 lb-ft of torque.   On the other hand, the Chevy Colorado usually comes with a 2.5-litre Inline-4 that is mated with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Generating 200 hp and 191 lb-ft of torque, it is nowhere near as hardy as the Gladiator. You can also get a 3.6-litre V6 or a turbocharged 2.8-litre 4-cylinder on this pickup. The first makes 308 hp and 275 lb-ft of torque, and the second produces 181 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque.   Want to learn more about how the Jeep Gladiator beats the competition?
