Red 2021 Dodge Charger on dusty asphalt

Dodge Delivers Thrills to Cranbrook, BC Drivers

All across North America, Dodge enthralls automotive enthusiasts with their sterling lineup of cars and SUVs. But the company’s origins, like so many, were humble and shaped by hard work and steadfast dedication.

The Dodge Brothers Company first saw life as a small machine shop in 1900. It supplied parts to Ford and other American auto makers, and although business was good, the two brothers, Horace Elgin Dodge and John Francis Dodge, knew more lie ahead of them. In 1914, they took to making complete automobiles under their own namesake, prior even to Chrysler’s founding.

Although Horace and John were victims of the 1920 “Spanish Flu” that prematurely cut their time here short, the company roared to even greater heights in the years following before being subsumed by Chrysler in 1928. Since then, their vehicles have only grown to greater renown, and the company now exists under Stellantis N.V., the global entity created in 2021 as a result of the merger between Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and the PSA Group. This deal helps ensure that Dodge continues to have all the resources necessary to push the envelope of greatness throughout this new century—and they’ve absolutely done so thus far with the 2021 iterations of their Challenger, Charger, and Durango.

Dodge Challenger

“Challenger” has been a name leveraged by Dodge since as far back as 1959. However, it wasn’t until the first generation of the Dodge Challenger performance car sped onto the scene in 1970 that it became a moniker connected with performance machines.

Now offering seating for five, Cranbrook drivers can enjoy the base SXT trim of the car and all of its 305 horses and 268 lb-ft. of torque. However, for those that want to step up from the standard engine option, the R/T model comes with a 5.7L HEMI V8 that churns out an impressive 375 horses and 410 lb.-ft. of torque. And if you’re really feeling frisky? Opt for the High-Output SRT Hellcat Redeye trim and its breathtaking 807 HP and 717 lb.-ft. of torque.

It’s the four-door wonder that’s wowed since ’66 and that Dodge now venerably calls its “most powerful, quickest and fastest sedan ever” (and the NHRA agrees, through certified testing of the SRT Hellcat model). Now, you can take the 2021 iteration of the Charger home, and trust us when we say we thoroughly believe you’ll be thrilled.

The latest Charger comes standard with a 3.6L V6 engine that produces a spirited 300 horses and 264 lb.-ft. of torque. However, drivers can max out performance with the 6.2L HEMI High-Output SRT Hellcat Redeye V8 engine, which scorches the streets of Cranbrook with 797 HP and 707 lb.-ft. of torque.

Dodge Durango

The new archetype for performance SUVs is now here, BC residents, and it is the 2021 Dodge Durango. Under the hood growls a 3.6L Pentastar V6 engine that comes as a standard inclusion and supplies 360 HP and 390 lb.-ft. of torque. But if you’re up for the ultimate Durango experience, you can spring for the top option: a 6.2L Supercharged HEMI V8 engine that comes standard on the SRT Hellcat and creates 710 horses and 645 lb.-ft. of torque.
