From the heated/power-adjustable seats to the gear shift knob and tilt-and-telescoping steering column the new 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited X is draped in subtle leather upholstery. With such an elegant cabin, you can expect some impressive style and tech upgrades as well.
This particular trim comes with ambient lighting with LED bulbs. It also includes an updated multimedia centre known as Uconnect 4C NAV. Adding a larger 8.4-inch touchscreen, advanced smartphone integration, memory settings, and a navigation system, you can stay connected everywhere you go.
If you look up, you will notice the CommandView dual-pane panoramic sunroof. You can open this feature with the simple push of a button to let in a nice breeze or to ventilate the interior. Finally, you can enjoy a 12-month complimentary subscription to SiriusXM satellite radio via the 6-speaker stereo.
The standard engine on most trims is Canada’s best-selling 3.6-litre V6 from Pentastar. Using a 6-speed manual transmission and ESS technology, it pushes out 285 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. You may also opt for the same motor with eTorque technology and an 8-speed automatic, which improves the estimated combined fuel economy from 11.8 L/100 km (20 mpg) to 11.2 L/100 km (21 mpg).
The third unit is a turbocharged 2.0-litre Inline-4 that generates 270 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. Equipped with direct injection technology and the 8-speed automatic, it gets around 10.7 L/100 km combined (22 mpg). Finally, the 3.0-litre EcoDiesel V6 produces 260 hp and 442 lb-ft of torque. You can expect to get 9.4 L/100 km combined (25 mpg).

The 2021 Jeep Cherokee is available in five main trims, and every single one is equipped with a slew of driving aids to keep you safe on the roads of BC.
The first is a forward collision mitigation function that acts as a two-in-one feature. It will use sensors to detect any upcoming obstacles that are in your direct path. After signaling you to take evasive action and no input is given, it will then activate the emergency brakes. Depending on the severity of the situation, it will either slow the Cherokee down or stop it completely.
The second is lane-keeping assist. If the vehicle begins to drift outside the lines, this element will gently guide it back to the centre.
Rear cross-traffic alert and blindspot monitoring will both notify you when another car is beside or behind you.
