Both a V-6 and V-8 gasoline power-train can be had in the Ram 1500, with both being paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission that shifts smoothly. Both engines are supported by a hybrid system that operates on 48 volts, while the Hemi V-8 5.7-liter can also be purchased without the hybrid system's assistance.
In 2023, Ram will also offer a diesel option, despite the fact that the company plans to terminate production of its diesel engine in January of the coming year. Up until that point, the 260-horsepower diesel V-6 will be offered as an option for the 1500 Limited, Limited Longhorn, Laramie, Lone Star, Big Horn, and Tradesman trim levels.
The rough and tumble Rebel model offers a beefier appearance as well as genuine off-road capability for those with an adventurous spirit. In contrast to the conventional leaf-spring configuration found on domestic competitors, the rear suspension of every Ram 1500 is equipped with either the default coil springs or available air springs.
This gives every Ram 1500 an exceptional ride quality. The ride height of models that are containing air suspension may even be adjusted, which helps with both the fuel efficiency and the performance off-road.
