The Jeep Grand Cherokee L is the entry level trim in the lineup, but it still comes with plenty of features. The Adaptive cruise control and Advanced braking assist features are standard on the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee L.
Adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability is standard on the Jeep Grand Cherokee L. The system uses radar to track the distance and speed of up to five vehicles ahead, automatically adjusting your speed to maintain a safe following distance. If the vehicle in front stops or slows down quickly, adaptive cruise control will bring your 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee L to a complete stop and then resume travel once traffic flow resumes.
Advanced braking assist is designed to reduce collisions when vehicles are traveling in dense traffic conditions at speeds below 25 mph, especially when there is heavy braking by other vehicles ahead of them or when drivers are distracted behind the wheel.
It uses sensors in the front bumper to detect when a vehicle in front of you slows down quickly or stops suddenly because of traffic conditions or driver error, such as forgetting to apply their brakes before stopping at a red light or stop sign. When this happens, advanced braking assist triggers your brakes before they need it so they can slow down faster than normal so they do not rear-end the vehicle in front of them.
